The Sale Dress I Couldn't Resist

Can we appreciate how cute this dress is? I was shopping in Liverpool with my family last Friday when we popped into Dorothy Perkins. They don't go up to a size 22 so I wasn't really looking for anything new until my nan demanded I look in the sale rale. Browsing to make her happy I found this and pointed out I thought it was really pretty, it was a large size 20 and she told me to try it on, boy am I glad I caved to my nans demand! I LOVE IT!

I feel like a mini princess in this dress (without the tiara and royal family) it comes in at the hips which I love as any dress that does this makes me look instantly slimmer. The neckline is a lovely black triangle pattern which I fell in love with, I just feel like it gives the dress a boost of life and that added detail. While the bottom has lovely pleats all around making it look very thick and full of volume? is this the right word? I think you will know what I mean! It zips at the back which I hate because then if I'm home alone it's a killer to get on and off and I would have loved the sleeves to be an extra two inches longer but I feel amazing in this dress despite this! It was also only £15 down from £30 I think (I can't find this online though sorry)

I paired this with this simple black over the shoulder bag from New Look, it was small and went perfect with the dress. My shoes are from George (ASDA) and honestly I think they go perfectly, seen as I very rarely wear heels I feel like ballet pumps can go with a look just as well! I also received the most beautiful phone case ever from Iconemesis recently, this Feathers case was designed by Cat Sims and I just think it is so pretty, it's not super thick so doesn't take up a lot of my phone but is great protection and pretty to look at! Iconemesis stock a whole range of quirky and pretty phone cases for iphone 5 and 6 and mine was only £15! I've also had SO many people comment on how lovely and high quality it is and I can honestly say the quality is amazing. It's super smooth and I've had this on my phone now for a while and not a scratch to be seen!

I want to say a very big thank you to the lovely Alice for taking these photos, if you ever need a photographer I highly recommend her! Not only is she a fellow blogger but she made me feel so comfortable and is based in Manchester for those close by!
