My New Love For Illasmasqua

Hello Everybody! I can't say I go into my local Illamasqua store a lot, not because I don't like their products but I guess nothing ever really pulls me in but when I seen a lovely blogger had this lipstick for sale on her blog at a discounted price I thought why not? It's a beautiful colour and it's a great way to test a new brand at a lower price! I got 'Cherub' which is a lovely natural warm coral colour, perfect for summer as I love coral coloured lipsticks. I have started to wear a lot more nude like colours recently as I find they go with everything and they're easy to top up through the day and don't leave a line around your lips when the middle wears off slightly.

When I swatched this I found it was so creamy and pigmented the colour really does look the same on the lips. It isn't completely matte but doesn't have a lot of shine to it which will be a bit weird for me as I mostly wear matte products as I find they suit me more as I have oily skin so oily skin and shiny lips together never look great on me. The Illamasqua packaging always makes me swoon, the sleek black look and square packaging makes it modern and classic, I also love the fact these have a small dint on the lids making the lid clasp onto the bottom so the lid won't fall off in your bag something I can't bare as my lipsticks always seem to get bitty from small bits and bobs in my bag!

I have a feeling I will be popping into my local Illamasqua a lot more after trying this lipstick, I can't fault this product I love it so I look forward to see what their other products have to offer. Do you have any suggestions?

  1. I love the click of the lid too haha, I have two of these and love them. The formula and colours are lovely. I always neglect illamasqua though! xx
