Hello Everybody! Recently in Liverpool, new restaurants seem to be popping up on the daily and one of which my favorites being a good old Italian. Bold street is iconic in Liverpool for being full of amazing vintage shops and small Pinterest type coffee shops with the newest edition to Bold Street being 'Crust'. I have wanted to visit Crust since it opened earlier this year but hadn't had the chance, so when I got invited I jumped at the opportunity. Offering black dough pizza, Nutella pizza and Chocolate Ravioli the menu is definitely different to any other Italian in Liverpool.

On arrival we were greeted by our waiter Stefano who showed us to our table, shortly after looking at the menu and deciding what we wanted our order was taken. I opted for Calamari to start and Charlotte went for the Focaccia, as lovely as mine was I just wanted more, I only got five pieces of Calamari so a little more would have been nice. Charlotte also was a little confused as on the menu her Focaccia stated Garlic, Tomato and Mozzarella but it only came with Garlic, maybe a simple miscommunication with the waiter or simply the Focaccia only came with one topping and we didn't know?

For our main meals, I got the Capricciosa Pizza changing the Artichoke and Anchovies for Mushrooms and Charlotte got the Diavola. Both pizzas were delicious and we couldn't even finish them they were that big so we got them boxed to take home which the waiter drew a heart on, this just added a little extra touch that I loved! For dessert I opted for the Nutella Pizza and Charlotte opted for Ravioli Chocolate. I physically can't tell you how good my Nutella Pizza was, I couldn't finish it I was that full but wow I will be going back just for that. Charlotte equally loved her Ravioli Chocolate saying it was delicious and tasted just like s'mores!

Overall, our experience was great, the only thing that was off putting was lack of communication. Every waiter/waitress that served us had trouble communicating with us (after our starter we got asked if we wanted dessert, it took me about five minutes to make the waitress understand we hadn't had our main meal yet!)  but I think maybe with Crust being a new restaurant they are still finding their feet with things like this. I can't fault the food, everything was cooked to perfection and our waiter Stefano was just as lovely. Thank you to Crust for inviting me I will definitely be back soon!

Have you ever tried Nutella Pizza?!

I was invited by Crust to review, all views and opinions are my own!
