Seventeen Define & Conquer Contour Kit

Seventeen Define and conquer contour kit

Hello Everybody! I don't know about you lot but Contouring has never been a strong point of mine, I have used the Sleek contour palette in the past and was completely put off after looking like a shiny, gold/silver mess but when I seen this set I had to try it! I have never tried anything from Seventeen, in fact I didn't know Boots sold it until the other day so when I seen this palette I had to have it! This is in the shade Medium and I am not a medium but I didn't even think there would be other shades when I picked it up because I don't contour but there is a Fair shade don't worry! OOPS!
The palette comes with a Darker shade to define your face and send certain parts of your face back to thin it out and the lighter shade to brighten parts and bring them forward essentially highlighting!

With the darker shade I apply this on the hollows of my cheeks, if you have a round face like me suck in your cheeks and you will find them a lot easier. Along my hairline, my jaw line and the sides of my nose. With the lighter shade I brush this along my T-Zone, My Chin and the top of my cheeks. I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply my Darker shade as I find it really easy. The brush itself is small so can really get into the hollow of your cheeks where as for my nose I use the Real Techniques Foundation Brush as this is thin enough and won't cover my whole nose! To blend and apply the lighter shade I use my Body Shop Powder brush!

What I loved most about this palette is that it comes with a handy set of instructions on how to apply this, so for someone new to contouring this is the perfect starter kit! The powder is very loose and I find a lot can come out of the palette when using your brush think downfall from eye shadow but in a palette. I love the darker shade and do think it really helps thin my face and give me a more hollow look (even if it is a tiny bit for my round face!) but the lighter shade is barely noticeable on my skin so I will be using my Body Shop highlighter instead I think!

Overall for £5.99 I couldn't complain the packaging is small and sturdy so perfect for travelling and comes with a handy little mirror inside too! Considering this is the first Seventeen product I have tried I am pleasantly surprised and will be trying more from the brand!

TIP: To thin out your collar bones hunch your shoulders up and where the crease meets apply the darker shade and blend!
